CEO'S OUTLOOK
MR. RAVI VARRIER- CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Life requires you to find the right balance of everything- an equilibrium of thoughts, actions and words- any
excess/lack thereof will make you feeling amiss.
In life, saying sorry, apologizing and taking responsibility goes a long way with your loved ones. This further
strengthens your relationship. Unable to say sorry is going to take your relationship down the drains. The
power of empathy and sensitivity makes you a better human being, and in life, that is all that matters.
In business, I am of the opinion that the use of the word 'sorry' is to be reduced to the bare minimum. To
avoid being misconstrued about this statement, please understand saying sorry less does not mean that
you are to be defiant. It merely is to push you to be more careful, make fewer mistakes; hence, lesser need
to use the word sorry. And if you make mistakes, ensure that you owe up to your actions instead of trying to
mask it with facades of misdirection and storytelling.
Saying sorry goes a long way. You can make yourself felt humble in life, but while in business, you could be
considered a duffer who jumps into conclusions, makes mistakes and then apologizes.
Apologizing is an art; so be an artist.
Overdoing it dilutes the significance of the word that it stands for. Hence, be humble enough to use it when
the situation demands but be alert not to fall in that situation often.
