Reflecting both population growth and urban expansion, statistics issued by thePublic Authority for Civil Information (PACI) revealed a 0.9 percent increase in thenumber of buildings in Kuwait during the first half of 2025, which is an addition of1,982 buildings compared to the end of 2024. Therefore, the total number ofbuildings reached 224,615 as of the end of June 2025, up from 222,633 inDecember 2024. The data also showed a 1.1 percent decrease in vacant buildings,dropping by 253 to 17,767, compared to 18,020 at the end of last year.
